Diagnosed

My roommate thought it was funny to place a cashew on my pillow for me to find every morning. It was our thing. The day he forgot, though, was also the day I was driven to the emergency hospital in an ambulance. But not because of a nut, but because of a panic attack. The words the doctor spoke to me were enough to make even the coldest of hearts shatter. It was the day I was diagnosed.
