After the old King's death, Saronia has been engulfed in war. A great battle between the humans and mages of the land is taking place and the humans fear for their lives as the Blood Amulet has fallen into the hands of the dark mage. Little do they know the King had a daughter who he had kept a secret for the past eighteen years and has now returned to Saronia.

Leila Snowheart seeks revenge for her parents who were murdered by a coven of witches four years ago. She sneaks onto a ship that sets sail for Saronia where the witches have been rumoured to live and immediately gets thrown off course when a barmaid is murdered in the dead of night. Three companions join her on her quest, which soon turns dangerous when she finds out that her and the dark mage share blood.

A retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth, a story of fate, the struggle for power, and love found in the most unexpected places. ***** Persephone has been raised in Olympus all her life - her mother absent, her father a cruel king, with her siblings teaching her all they know. She has seen all of what the gods and goddesses do and she is sick of it. When she learns her safety is threatened by staying in Olympus, she flees to the Underworld. There she stays until she learns that her leaving has caused the world to wilt. But leaving behind her newfound friends and Lady of the Underworld is something she will not do willingly, no matter the consequences.
