He created a small ball of life and waited until it hatched. 4 years later dipper comes back to gravity falls without his sister because she is still a home back in California. Bill pays a little visit to his pinetree just wanting to stay with him trying to keep their kid a secret.

Also, the twins are a year younger when this takes place, so they are 11 going on 12 when Mabel goes to Gravity Falls and the whole Weirdmageddon thing happens. . Summer was over, and it was time to get back to school.
