I prepared myself to attack, not falling for the soft blue eyes that stared back at me. This was the first time I had encountered a wolf since I left my family 5 years ago. I knew instantly that this wolf was no ordinary wolf. He was massive, most likely an alpha werewolf.
He cocked his head to side as if wondering what my next move was. I didn't want to give away my motives so I took a step back angling my body so the right side was far away from him. I reached for the gun I had in my waist band and before he could react I was aiming the gun at the wolfs head. He turned and ran away before I could shoot so I fired blindly anyways.
Sophia's family has a long generation of werewolf hunters. Anyone who hears the last name Caine knows the bloodshed and tears her family brings.
