Street fighting is something Layla Fischer has been doing half of her life time to pay bills and provide for herself. Let's not forget she is also undefeated in street fighting but that's not important. Now it's her senior year and she attempting to continue to have a clean record so she can get out of the life she is living.

Of course there is a new boy who joins her school and has all the girls swooning especially over the fact that he is rich and is the leader of a gang. Mason Peters is the obvious cliché bad boy every girl falls for.

Layla and Mason right away dislike each other and when she finds out she has a fight against one of the gang members from Masons gang she is already a little suspicious. Though Layla meets another boy from Mason's gang Bo Flaim. Strangely enough she takes a liking to him but she would never want to admit it. Bo is one of Masons closest friends so Layla and Mason are pretty much forced to interact with each other once in awhile.

There will be lots of fist fights and just other casual yelling at each other fights but not even Layla is ready for this rollercoaster of a year that she though she had all planned out.

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. He has countless tattoos covering his body. And he doesn't care about anything or anyone else. Layla Stevens is your average seventeen year-old girl, just trying to get through high school, with the friends she loves and doing the things she loves. "Her troubled eyes held fire. The kind of fire that was capable of burning me to ash." ***** I grabbed her chin with my free hand, making her look at me. "I hate that I don't know you. I hate not being a part of your life, like I was before." I leaned a little closer, as her intoxicating scent filled my lungs. "Trust me, I can't hate you, no matter how hard I tried." "So you have... " It came out as more of a question than a statement from her as she looked at me with her big blue eyes. "What?" I frowned, dropping my hand from her chin and grabbing her hand, instead. "You have tried hating me then?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. This time it sounded more like a statement than a question. "I have." I sighed, dropping my head in shame. "And it made me lose the most important person in my life." ***** One night. What harm can one night do? It can change lives. Turn best friends into enemies. Turn someone's life upside down. Emily Waters and Ryder Green, were inseparable, joint to the hip, always had each others back and loved each other behind the best friend facade. But one night changed it all. He thinks he has changed for worse but what he doesn't know is that Emily has changed for the worst. Three years later, what if the girl is back, with baggage that she doesn't think anyone could handle? What will happen when they meet? Will the sparks ignite again? They don't see the bruises she has to cover up every morning. They don't see her having to step up to take care of her two younger siblings. She puts on a fake smile as soon as she walks through the school doors and slowly builds her walls up higher as each day goes on. She thinks no one will ever see past her facade...that is, until three new bad boys come strolling into town taking an automatic interest in Dakota.
