Allison Palmer loves her Boyfriend Nate and loves her Best Friend Amy like a sister. But she is always busy and barely sees them so she decides to secretly visit her boyfriend. On her way to his room she hears strange noises. She finds her boyfriend and her best friend making out on his bed. Her heart shattered and broke into a million pieces. She decides to run away from home. She decides to move to California and on her flight she meets a handsome mysterious boy named Kevin. She comes across him at her new school again and notices they share a lot in common then they start becoming friends and she learns that his girlfriend died in an accident. Over the time she begins to fall for him, but is scared to tell him how she feels and then love him and get her heart broken again. Will she take the risk of ending up with a broken heart or will she be too scared to take that risk?
