This story is about a girl I once knew in high school. She committed suicide shortly before our Junior Year ended. She was the kindest girl you could ever meet. She was smart, loyal to her friends, loved and supported the Choir Program I was a part of. She loved seeing a smile on my face and would do anything to see me smile again. Her name was Jessica. I had known her since we were in the fifth grade. We always talked about things other found "childish" or "stupid". But to us it was our happiness. She was the one that would defend me when I was down and I would do the same for her when she was down. But then one day, she was getting bullied a lot on school campus and she didn't talk to me about it. She thought she could handle it alone. I respect her for being strong........ But sadly, she wasn't strong enough. She was a strong willed girl and I liked her for who she was but she was in a vulnerable state. I felt helpless. I tried to help but she told me not to. I listened. Looking back at it. I wish I had helped her. She isolated herself into a hole and now she is living in that hole. I stand by her hole every day to tell her that I was fine and that I still missed her. And I will continue to do this until I die.
