The difference

((a had a dream and this came to me, this is not to trigger anyone I just thought it'd be a good story))
gender bender: someone who dresses and behaves as the opposite gender

this is a story of Rolan being the eldest
her sister is Val
twins &
both have no memory of the time before the night of an accident when they were 7
Rolan and Val were stranded in the woods for days and in this world there want anyone too keen in taking in these odd looking children from who knows where
being sexually assaulted one night when they were 10
Val was traumatized as Rolan barely managed to get both of them to escape.
Very frustrated Rolan thought up a plan and told Val as they aqpproached a village settled,on the outward swamps of a kingdom that seemed familiar.

The next day Rolan awoke as someone else for the protection of themselves

Aged 17 Rolan has now become the brother to Val

now in search of freedom

Rolan vowed to never let a thing happen to his sister ever again

Yet can he be so sure of himself?
What if something happens for "her"?

((in Rolan's case they are very masculine and aren't only doing this for protection being themselves is what they are doing and they are are completely okay with being feminine but only around Val and they prefer either he/him pronouns or sometimes they never she/her unless Val says it ))
