In the year 2145, America's economy has hit rock bottom. It faces overpopulation, a high unemployment rate, and there is an inordinate balance between the wealth of the country. The East obtains most of the wealth, while the West struggles to thrive on what little they have. And the solution that the government comes up with? Execute the Westerners.

Eden Reed loses everything when this devastation dawns upon him. He and his sister are on the run for 7 years by themselves until they join a group of survivors just like them. From the perspective of Eden and a struggling girl named Astrid, follow along the troubles, romances, and friendships that occur during the time of a falling America.
