«I'll watch you from my telescope»
Otto's life is bland. As a fisher, he's used to a lot of cold, gray days on the cold, gray ocean off the east coast of Maine. One fateful trip, he sees a flash of color in the gray water.
Pink.
Otto eagerly looks towards the splash of color in his gray life and sees a rare and wonderful sight that he's sure no one has ever seen before, but will anyone believe that mermaids exist?

Captive of the Sea
Those who were taken... They never came back, dragged beneath the waves never to return. Their haunting screams were a symbol of their horrific deaths. Like shadows they lay in wait, the deep blue waters hiding them from view. With sharp claws they attack, Pointed fangs tearing into skin, Eager mouths devouring human flesh. Cally was taken, dragged under the water by one of the vicious creatures. But she was not devoured nor torn apart by ruthless claws--no. She was a captive. ~•~ Water instantly invades her senses. Her eyes sting, her lungs and nose burning. She thrashes, kicks, claws--anything to get away. Her efforts go to waste as her body slowly starts to shut down, the air in her lungs quickly being replaced by sea water. Cally is vaguely aware of arms wrapping around her waist and behind her head before she loses consciousness, submerged in darkness. And so she is taken. ❝ she knows how to be both beautiful and dangerous all at once ❞ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⬩❖⬩ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ "My favorite color is blue." Aurora bit her lip to block her laughter. How original? A son of Neptune liked the color blue. She brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, glancing his way. Her cerulean eyes seemed to glow in the darkness. "Let me guess. . . you also love blue food?" Percy's cheeks heated up, his eyes meeting her own. "Maybe." The two walked in silence for a little while longer, nearing the boat after a few moments. Aurora shouldered hers and Hazel's bags while Percy grabbed his and Frank's. They turned and began walking back to the cliff where Hazel and Frank were. After a hesitant moment, Aurora spoke up. "My favorite color is, and don't laugh." She sent him a look. A glare with no heat behind it. A glare that made Percy chuckle softly. "My favorite color is yellow." Percy let out a loud, contagious laugh that echoed off of the cliff side. Aurora watched the years of stress and sadness leave his face as he tossed his head back, eyes crinkling with joy. Aurora soon found herself laughing as well, finding it hard not to when Percy was. They stopped and laughed for a while, Aurora's stomach cramping as tears of joy slid down her cheeks. Percy inhaled deeply and shook his head with a wide grin. "And you're calling me 'original.'" "Shut up, Kelp Head." "Whatever you say, Sleeping Beauty." Beneath The Tides
People say mermaids are myths-creatures born from imagination, whispered through folklore, and lost in fantasy. Justin Chadwick never believed in them either. Not until he started seeing her. At eighteen, the world's wealthiest and most sought-after bachelor witnessed something he could neither explain nor forget-a fleeting glimpse of a creature that was neither fully human nor entirely of the sea. He dismissed it as stress, hallucination... anything but the truth. But she never left him. She followed him into his dreams. Into his thoughts. Into the quiet moments he could no longer escape. Years later, Justin has everything a man could desire-power, wealth, control. Yet beneath it all lies a haunting presence he has never been able to shake. Until one night... she appears again. Not in his dreams. Not in his imagination. But in his world. A mysterious woman of the sea-beautiful, distant, and impossibly real. Drawn to her in ways he cannot understand, Justin finds himself unraveling the deeper he gets. Because she is not just a creature of legend-she is a secret the ocean has kept for centuries. And she has been watching him. As reality begins to blur with myth, Justin must confront a truth far more dangerous than fantasy: Some legends are real. Some obsessions run deeper than the ocean. And some creatures don't just appear... They choose who they reveal themselves to.Complete

Atlantis Academy: The First Element
Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?Complete
