While in the hospital Vlad while originally wanting revenge on Jack Fenton for ruining his life, he soon learns that it's hopeless, so he learns to let go of his anger and move on from his obsession with Maddie. When Vlad finds out that Jack's son is like him, he gives the young halfa a genuine offer to teach and train him, in everything that he has learned.
