Three years have gone,Janet & Amaru have managed to parent Mia with very little communication and a whole lot of distance. Janet has been trying to cope with the death of her father. His battle with cancer ended almost two years ago and ever since she just hasn't been herself according to Lisa. Amaru & Aaliyah have a beautiful baby boy together named kiyon and seem to be very much in love,at least that's how everyone else sees their relationship. Aaliyah loves Amaru but in the back of her mind she feels like she's constantly being compared to Janet & she's fed up. Amaru finds himself in a constant tug between the two women he loves,but little does he know Janet thinks very little of him now,his feelings for her are still present.
