Destiny wakes up in a hospital bed after 3 weeks of being in a coma, that was caused when she was In a car accident which killed her best friend Sidney who she doesn't even remember. She also doesn't remember who she is, she remembers she lives in BC canada but she doesn't know where in BC, she remembers she's 16 but not when her birthday is. She and remembers stuff she has learned in school. But she doesn't remember memories or people from her life or places shes gone experiences she's had, who she really is. The doctor tells her she should slowly get her memories back. So now as she's struggling to gain control of her life and trying to find out where she fits and how she's supposed to act. She thinks it should become easier as she starts to remember but as her memories come back she begins wonder what really happened the night of the accident. Was it really just an accident?

I woke up in a hospital bed, the pain I was feeling was intense. All I remember was practicing gymnastics and then well everything went black. And now the only things I hear are the sound of my heart monitor and the slow dripping of the IV into my arm. The air in the room felt stale, the silence was so "loud" I felt like I could hear my own heart beat. I heard I light knock on the door to my room, the doctor walked in, kind of solemn looking. I got worried, I immediately asked him "Hi doctor, is there something wrong?" " With you? No, your vitals seems stable. But I thought that you should be aware of this now." "Be aware of what?" "It's about your parents." "What about them are they okay?" "No, not exactly. They were in a car accident a couple of days ago, and your father flew through the windshield and broke his leg. Your mother is in a coma and isn't waking up. They are both located at Helena Hospital." This is a story about a girl named Jessica White who is 17 yrs. old and has been a gymnast since she was four. While practicing one day she fell off a high beam and was knocked unconscious, while in the hospital she is informed her parents were in terrible car accident and her mother is now in a coma.
