Emma Feara was a completely normal girl, living at home with her dad, seventeen years old, a whole future ahead of her. Then she falls down a set of stairs. She finds herself in an institute with hundreds of kids that are just like her. Unordinary. Unusual, not normal, out of place in society. Everyone in the institute has something about them that makes them these things. They all have a Flair. One can read her mind, another can in one second be standing right in front of you and the next be on the other side of the country. It makes them special. Emma finds herself caught up in the world for a second before she realizes that coming to it might have been a mistake. She gets caught between life and death, yes or no, and the danger that this strange new world's war has to offer. The biggest life altering choices, for her and the rest of the world, are on her shoulders. Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Published: 22-6-2020 This is part 2 of The Dark Realm series There are two things Emma fears most; Returning to the realm that caused her so much pain, and letting her loved ones die. However she cannot avoid both fears. If she doesn't return to the Dark Realm, She will lose a very close friend of hers. Prologue: "So anyway, what do you want in exchange for your service?" I asked hoping he wouldn't go overboard. He leaned in and whispered in my ear, "It's pretty simple. I want you to owe me a favor. Just to be clear on the rules, you have to do what I ask you to whenever you're told to, and whatever the thing is." That's a risky game. I don't like to agree to something when I don't really know what it is. What the hell are you getting yourself into Emma? "What kind of a favor?" "That does not concern you just yet. Just remember that your little friend is almost out if time. August is near, and if you deny me my request, I'll kill that boyfriend of yours." he threatened. My Misconceptions
As an orphan, Emma Johnson never exactly believed in miracles or magic of any kind. Or even the proclaimed superheroes everyone loved. That all changed the fateful night when she was mugged and attacked. At that point in her life, she had come to the conclusion that she wouldn't amount to much, and as she lied half-conscious on the ground, she couldn't help but think that she deserved this kind of death. She didn't want it, but it seemed appropriate to someone with nothing to call her own. Then in swoops in her own personal superman, saving her and taking her back to his place where she wakes up the next day. She is then surprised to find that everything she thought was fake before, was suddenly coming to life before her eyes. And what's even more shocking is, she's been in the middle of it her whole life. Description credit goes to my friend, dropsofargent, who so kindly wrote the description for me.
