Blaine Anderson and Marley Rose had absolutely nothing in common.
For starters, Blaine was an openly gay graduating high school senior while Marley was a straight female high school sophomore. They rarely even communicated with each other. The only thing they had in common? Their love for music.
Inspired by his boyfriend's band, Blaine decides to form his own band, which consists of Kitty, Tina and Ryder. Marley, was then in a bad state, thanks to her recent breakup with Jake. Hoping to cheer her up, Blaine invites her to join him.
As N/Y Sneakers slowly gains fame, Blaine and Marley start to bond with each other through the ups and downs of their band and their lives.
They soon start to realize that they might have feelings for each other, problem was that Blaine's sexuality and Marley's still existing feelings for Jake was holding them back. Neither dared to say a word about it.
However, when words failed to help them communicate, music helped them speak.
