I stared at the newborn cradled in her arms. Her bright blue eyes squinting open a bit as she cried, looking up at me. Olivia smiled down at the child, rocking her side to side now, "That's your daddy, Avril. Louis." Tears pricked the corners of my eyes, and not for the reason you are thinking. The way the child resembled me freaked me out, heck, this whole situation freaked me out. How could this happen? Especially this week of my X-Factor audition. I reached my hand out and gently rubbed the side of my daughter's cheek earning a gurgle noise. I'm not sure if that's when everything hit me but with a quick kiss on her little forehead I bolted out the door. I can't have this distracting me, I have to be on my game to start my career as a singer. As dumb as I'm sounding right now, that's the choice I just made.
