Bailey is a 18 year old girl, and- oh forgot to mention she's a princess. She's not your average snobby rich girl. She hates being a princess, she just wants a regular life. She hates how her parents; mainly her mother, treat people who are 'less then us' or is a 'peasant' especially since her best friend is a maid who works for them, but her mother doesn't know that they're friends at all. Her best friend Crystal, snuck her out of the palace when Bailey was tired of never being allowed to go out and explore, meet new people. Or as her mother would say, 'peasants'. When she and Crystal go to the park, they're having a race there, and Bailey bumps into a boy, it's the first 'peasant' boy she's ever met, her mother has only ever let royal men into the palace. Crystal and Christopher help her sneak out of the palace weekly, to go out and travel, but Crystal and Bailey always went out to meet their new friend, Aiden Ryder. He showed Bailey all the sights, without her getting caught. He brought her to the rarest places no one knew about. He's plays sports with her she's always wanted to do, and he's surprised to see she's better at it than her! The more they hang out, Bailey thinks she likes him, but she doesn't know for sure because she's never felt like this before. But when she thinks her and Aiden have sparks, her mother tells her she needs to find a husband. So she holds a royal ball for her to meet her soon to be husband. Will Bailey and Aiden ever be together? Or will the feelings she thinks she has for him, not be returned? And even if they were, will her parents accept it?

Meet Violet Summers. She's the sarcastic girl who doesn't really ever get noticed by anyone. She blends into any crowd because of how "normal" she is. And she loves it. She wouldn't be able to stand the attention of everyone around her. That's why she won't tell Ryan Bloore, her crush for three years, that she practically worships the ground he walks on. Ryan is the captain of the basketball team at their school, so guys see him like he's a god and girls act like he walks on water. If they were to date, all eyes would be on her- she would be under everyone's scrutiny. So she's kept her feelings a secret, and she's done her best to suppress her emotions these past years, but she's realized that she's been so caught up in making people not notice her that she didn't realize how lonely she would be when no one was watching. Now meet Ryder Knight. School bad boy. Quarterback captain and heartthrob. The kind that wears a leather jacket and has tattoos all over his arms. The one who shows up to school riding a motorcycle. Just your average run of the mill "if you get involved with this guy, you will meet some serious trouble" kind of male. Well, too bad for Violet, she's stuck with him now. After all of the years of pushing away her feelings for Ryan because of her fear of being seen, she is now all anyone can look at- because of Ryder. Because of him, she can feel their stares, and she hates him for it. The longer they spend time together, the more Ryder starts to realize he actually enjoys being around her-despite her snarky comments about how much she despises him. And if Violet is being completely honest with herself, she's also starting to realize she might not actually hate the fact that people are noticing her now, but hate the way Ryder makes her feel.
