So, my name is Eden Harper. I currently reside in Exeter of Murrayfield, Washington. Don't let the name fool you, we live in modern society, but our lives are held in between the walls of Murrayfield. What I'm trying to say is... it's 2015, but our town live's in older times. Everything looks just like it would if you lived during the 1900s. Don't get me wrong, victorian styled homes are beautiful, but when you can do a quick search on the internet and see places that are so much newer and simpler.. I get kind of disappointed.
Anyway, I am a 23-year-old who lives in a home passed down, and fully paid for, by none other than..... Mr. and Mrs. Mayor Harper. That means it's huge, beautiful, and takes up more space than it should. My parents only wanted the best for their children. But when they only had one child, it seemed like a waste. Whenever I got old enough, they told me that their plan was to have around 10 children, so that the Harper name would live on. But then they had me, and after that, they found out they couldn't have any more children. They began to treat me like it was my fault, and for that, only God knows why. But in 2001, when I was 9, they passed away. It was a freak accident. Apparently, they were mauled by some type of animal in the woods. My parents never went camping, they weren't built for that. Their lives here were way more lavish, with people to do everything for them. But at a young age, I was too sad to understand that. I never would've thought they would've been in the woods.
When I turn 25, I will receive 25% of the inheritance. Then in 10 years, I'll receive another 25%, etc. until the money fizzles out. It sounds great. I'm grateful. I would rather have my parents though. I get more as time goes on. What else will I discover about my parents? My new life?
Join me on my journey of discovery. It's gonna be a crazy ride.
