Certainly they could trust that those in power ultimately had the best interests of the people in mind, right? ~~~ Luna slouched low in her seat, staring at droplets of water that ran diagonally down the window of the bus. The sky was a flat, depressing grey and the incessant, soaking rain left her constantly chilled. It was a typical "liquid sunshine" day in the Pacific Northwest. They drove past a single tall scraggly tree on top of a hill shrouded in mist. The creepy tree was full of screaming crows. How could she hear them from inside the bus when she couldn't even seem to hear the voices of the kids around her? Geez, that was an awfully freaking dark image. She shivered and looked away. What did they call a group of crows again? Right, a murder of crows. Perfect. The weather was certainly the only thing that was typical these days, although you'd never know it by looking around the bus at most of the kids as they sat joking and gossiping with each other just like they had before... before that day everything had changed. The cold breeze in my face, clinging tightly to my bare arms. My arms wrapped around my torso in an attempt to keep me warm. Tears streaming down my face as memories of Harry's cruel betrayal flood my mind. Of all days, he chose my birthday to hurt me. My red pumps creating a gentle click sound with every contact is made with the tarred road. Creating the only sound the night breeze brings to my ears. Asides from my sobs and the distant barks of the neighborhood dogs. My third sense is suddenly activated as I sense I'm being followed. I smell danger. Walking alone on such desolate streets doesn't seem like the best idea I could have come up with. I wasn't thinking straight when I made that choice. I should have called my driver to come to get me!. This creepy feeling becomes more intense and I decide to do the one thing I know I'm good at; run! I throw my purse and phone away as I begin to run in a frenzy I feel something hot on my trail, when I look back, all I see is dark fog. The more reason to run faster. The road fairly lit by moonlight, my heart in my mouth and prayers of help and mercy escaping my lips. Finally, I hear music playing from loudspeakers. I'm close to civilization!. I keep running frantically. One of my pumps is gone. Soon I see a club insight with a few people outside. I begin to scream for help when a figure suddenly appears before me. In fear, I make to run in the opposite direction but another figure is right behind me. Next thing I know; I'm surrounded by darkness. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°¢°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Tales of missing children are considered a fallacy till teenage Sonia goes missing... Until I Met Her
I was never the cool girl. Never the centre of attention. Hell, the first party I ever went to was because Kheli dragged me there when I was seventeen. Oh, Kheli... Kheli was my first love. My first everything. But once we finished high school, we parted ways. My plans were very clear: go to university, have fun, go to parties, maybe fool around at some point when missing Kheli got too much for me to handle. I don't know - the typical university life you see in movies. However, it was nothing like that. I was struggling to keep up with my assignments, my classes, all the drama, the parties, Kheli, the people, Pokémon Go - everything. I couldn't keep up with any of it. And then... Eleanor Williams did what she does best. She came out of nowhere and planted herself right in the middle of my world. And like a very fucking annoying tree, she set down roots and refused to move. And then I found myself - God, kill me now - enjoying being around Eleanor Williams. I found myself watering the fucking tree even when I knew it would only make the roots grow deeper, until there was no way of pulling it out. (Yes, sometimes I make very shitty metaphors. You'll get used to it.) But just because I was, much to my dismay, enjoying Eleanor Williams's company didn't mean she wanted me around.

The stars twinkled as the moonlight shone upon us as we stared at the sky. "People just don't understand," I thought aloud as I laid on the blanket next to my blue-eyed beauty. Well, not necessarily mine but you get it. "How so do you mean?" She whispered quietly as her gaze remained set on the stars. My eyes fell upon her curvy silhouette as she sat beside me with a bottle of tequila in her hand. "I mean that people just don't understand, they don't try to. They're all caught up in their problems and don't look at any bigger picture at all." I explain and take a swig of my water, only sitting up slightly. "Yeah," She sighed and untwisted the cap of her bottle. "People are stuck in their illusions of finding these realities they think they find, but really don't. They make themselves miserable by trying to find these realities when they really don't know what's best for them." Her confusing explanation didn't but did make sense, or maybe it was just the curves of her lips that can make everything make sense. "That does but does not make a lot of sense. Why would all of these people just make themselves miserable? I don't think they really try. Who tries to make themselves upset?" I banter gently with her, trying to understand what she hides in her head behind her long and wavy hair. "But don't you get it?" The words rolled smoothly off of her luscious lips and I lost myself in her voice. "People are so hung up in finding these realities but they don't realize that illusion is the first of all pleasures." She let the cap roll off of her hand and took a swig in the moonlight.Concluida
