In a world of sorrow and endless pain, there was a witch, the most powerful sorcerer to ever lived, and her name unknown. Many know her as Mercy, for she has too much of it. She can bring back what you've lost for a small price. A lantern, with something inside it that was dear to your soul. The biggest thing you've lost, for a tiny object? Most would jump at the offer. People who you've watched leave you, now appear in front of you. A lost limb, now regrown. Maybe your choices you've made, lead you to a place in your life where you are now lost. Poof, your life starts almost new. She can help anyone, with almost anything.
But what will happen when an object is given to her, that is different from the others? The feather looked like just an ordinary feather but she felt more emit from that lantern. It has much meaning, and it was from a brother who had no mercy for his youngest sibling. And yet, he did not give up his item for his dead brother, instead a new life for new choices, and everyone forgets.
The witch is curious about the man who did not have mercy to save his brother. So she examines him. And then she made either the worst choice of her immortal life, or the best.
