Emily Jones. She had everything, or so she thought. When her 'best friend' tells everyone her secret. Her world comes crashing down. She left but now she's back. Nothing's okay, she isn't okay. Then one night, an old lady hands her a crystal 'Wear this, it'll grant you the wish you made on your ninth birthday'. She had wished to be a mermaid. She took it, not believing her at all. Little did she know, everything was about to change. Along the way she meets Kieran, and Mabel. Are they her friends, or her enemies?

Although terrified, he moves forward to help untangle her as no one else is moving. He prays that she'll forgive him. Worry forms when she takes a lock of his hair. Was that a way of marking him? Regardless, he doesn't fight, not wanting to make it worse. Worry increases when she's spotted again. Muriel begins to develop a crush on Prince Philip after he frees her from the net. When her sister's displeasure with her grows worse, Muriel seeks to avoid it. In a desperate attempt to do so she finds herself cave of the sea witch Minerva. Philip's kindness remains prominent in her mind when Minerva offers her a choice to be a human. Hesitantly she agrees, unaware of how different the human world from hers.
