Life may look perfect on the outside, but on the inside it never is. Take Liliana Megan and Evan James for example: Meg, as she likes to be called, has a mother, father, and younger sister. She attends church on Sundays and works tirelessly on her schoolwork. Perfect? Think again. Her life may look it, but her heart is empty. She is far from her Heavenly Father, though she claims to be His child. Evan has a father, but they aren't close. His mother died when she was young. Attending the same school and church as Meg, he sees things a little differently than her. He lives in communion with God his Father, and should probably focus a bit more on his schoolwork. Neither of their lives are perfect, but in different ways.

"Beauty can be a blessing or a Curse. Those who hold faith in destiny, true love, and soulmates possess a unique luck: the ability to still see the world through hopeful, imaginative eyes. While others find love, my beauty has been a barrier to genuine connection; I yearn to finally hope, dream, and love like everyone else" Life was never easy for Maya, who was abandoned by her birth parents as an infant and left to wonder why. She had no family besides her uncle, a caring man who rescued her from an orphanage when she was ten. He has been her only friend and mentor ever since. Her world shifted in junior high, transforming a good life into a living hell. Ever since, Maya has been plagued by anxiety and an inability to trust. She focuses entirely on evading unwanted attention and the horror it brings. She is left questioning if she can ever truly defend herself, escape the cruel world, and secure her own future.
