(1960's au) After escaping a war in Chimosia (Kim-o-sia) and losing one of his siblings to an illness, Keith and his family settles in a new home in Miami for a start of a new life. One problem, he doesn't understand english very well and his classmates like to tease him for being a foreigner. Until he meets a half bitchy and half nice guy, Lance McClain who wants to be his first friend. Though communication is hard, Keith is determined to learn the language and better improve their friendship and sooner... a relationship.

You, as one person, do not exist to around six billion, nine hundred ninety-nine million, nine hundred ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred ninety-five people, if you are truly loved by five persons. Luck of the draw, life on Earth is. At least, that's what the human species chooses to believe. Now, knowing more alien species exist than human races, Lance feels suffocated. He has to fight even more for that little bit of relevance, to get acknowledged.
