"I'm cutting funding." Said Mahdy over the phone.

There was more after that but Chip hadn't heard it. Long story short? Eiko, Daniel, Alistair and Chip's passion project, Alt Future Inc, a web based climate change game that challenges the player to save the world, was dead in the water.

But Eiko isn't willing to give up just yet and finds an ancient brick building in upstate New York that's available for a song. She knows it's a far cry from Silicon Valley but their dreams can't afford Silicon Valley. Eiko's plan is to pool their resources, live on a shoestring while they renovate the old place, save AFI and just maybe infuse some life into a dying town in the process.
But the gang doesn't share her rosy vision of a future in New York. Daniel is from Rochester and has zero interest in returning East. Chip thinks moving across the country to solve their financial problems is nuts and Alistair simply doesn't have the twenty five thousand dollar buy in.

Can Eiko convince her friends to take a chance on New York? Or will their alternate future fizzle before it even has a chance to get started?
