Behind The Scenes( A Justin Bieber Love Story)

Emma giggled and hit me playfully. Her sweet laughter soon faded, leaving nothing but the silence of the car. She looked over at me and down at her feet, like she wanted to tell me something. I could see her playing with her fingers through the darkness, one of her nervous habits.

" Selena confronted me today."

" What'd she say?" I asked, amused but not surprised.

" She said to stay away from you because you were hers."

I laughed at Selena's pathetic attempt to try and 'protect me'.

" I'm not hers." I corrected.

" I know," Emma said." And besides, I denied everything too."

" Wait, she asked about us?"

" Yeah, but I said we were just friends." Emma said.

Hearing the words 'just friends' come out of her mouth hurt me. I didn't want to be just friends, not to the public and definitely not to her.

" I honestly wish I didn't have to deal with her."

" Why?" Emma asked.

" Because if she wasn't here, we wouldn't have to sneak around."

" But what about Scooter?" Emma asked. " I mean, he is my uncle."

" Okay well if they weren't here, you'd be all mine."

Emma looked at me, thrown off by what I said. She looked out the window, not saying anything. I could see her bite her lip, taking in the words that just came out of my mouth. She looked back at me with longing eyes.

" Why does it feel like we shouldn't be together?"

" Because no one wants us to be." I said blankly.
