"Have you ever loved someone?" He asked out of breath
I thought about it for a moment, thinking of all the terrible people in my past. My father, my mother, my big brother, my ex. All the people who should have loved me but didn't, they all hated me for many reasons but the one thing that always stood out the most was that I was an imposter. An imposter daughter, an imposter sister and an imposter girlfriend. For many years of my life I always thought I could show them that I wasn't an imposter. I tried to show them the truth but they wouldn't have it.

They beat me till my bones broke, they beat me till I could no longer see anything but blurs of color, they starved me and chained me so I couldn't run.

I looked up into his dark brown eyes that were filled with curiosity then I felt my heart tighten as tears threatened to fall
