Aurora likes to think of herself as a protector of the Commonwealth. Others may see her as a distant and aloof mercenary, but she doesn't mind it-no connections mean she can't get hurt. When a certain group of Gunners gives her trouble, she looks for help; she hears of MacCready-a gun-for-hire in Goodneighbor. She hires the former Gunner and soon sees that he is true to his word as a sharpshooter, but she never expected the trouble in store for her, or that a connection would form between the two mercenaries.

[Ex Map to Anywhere] [LONGLIST ONC2020] When humanity is threatened by extinction, two enemies have to work together. She's the last Seer, with the most painful job imaginable. He's the commander of the last human outpost, with the heaviest responsibility to bear. She's totally shameless, respects nothing and no one. He's respected by everyone else as a god amongst men. No wonder they'd gladly kill each other. But they can't. They have to save mankind. And, surprisingly, each other. ~32K words ~~~ Open Novella Contest 2020 - Longlisted Featured: - WP Romance's Worlds Apart reading list - WP Fantasy's Romantasy readig list ~~~ Reviews: "The romance in the book isn't too cheesy, which is very unlike other romance books, but in a good way." The Belles Lettres Awards "Absolutely mind blowing! The plot is just as well executed as it seems to have been planned, though only the author can really know that. It truly is a science-fiction adventure!" The Mono Awards "I absolutely love the banter between Auberon and the Seer. And I love the concept. It's very well thought out and executed even better than I thought it could have. Something I would definitely recommend to others. Love it. Absolutely love it." The Sakura Awards "The very first word, emotional mapping had drawn me in from the very start. The plot was very intriguing and it was so mysterious from the start. It was very enjoyable." Exile: The Book of Ever by JamesCormier
30 parts Complete
Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.
