In an attempt to save her from being a host to a vengeful demon, the Grim Reaper tore Xandra's soul. This left her with a nasty scar and the inability to be condemned to heaven, hell, or Earth. Raised as an apprentice to the Grim Reaper, Xandra has a sort of teenage rebellion when she ends up shooting the Grim Reaper to go after the demon that destroyed her family and the reason she can never have a happily ever after. Before she knows it, she's lugging around a bratty son of the Reaper himself, a flirty witch forever cursed as a cat, an escaped prisoner from Tartarus, and a changeling bounty hunter.
