Joanne and Andy have known each other for forever. They've played in each other's cribs and stuck up for each other through junior high. Though they're both pretty geeky and invisible, they have big dreams for the future. Joanne being the drama geek just can't wait to find her big break and Andy wants his movies to be played on the big screen. They were the perfect team.
That is until high school. Joanne gets swept away by the so called 'Perfects' while making a documentary about popular life. Now Joanne has new friends, new clothes, a whole new life without Andy. And for the first three years of high school, Joanne seems to forget about Andy, her ex-best friend and her first crush.
But when they are paired for a drama project, like the ones they used to do, Andy knows that this is his chance to get her back, not only as his best friend, but something more.
