After being kidnapped from her village, ripped from her family and made into a slave, eleven-year-old Ashara Sanju was now going to be killed along with fifty other unfortunate children.

When a rifle is aimed at her head, Ashara closes her eyes and prepares for death. In fear and anger, she wishes that the earth would just rise up and crush the bad men.
