Raelynn had never much fit in around her pack or in her family. Her mate seemed to agree. It broke Pierson's heart to reject his mate, but he knew what was coming, and he needed somebody strong at his side. He couldn't be distracted by a mate that needed constant protecting. So Pierson made a sacrifice and he hoped that Raelynn would understand.

Fate chooses mates in mysterious ways and has away of making sure they end up together. Raelynn and Pierson's fates had already been decided long before they were born and so has their children. Raelynn and Pierson must rise to the occasion or the Legend of the Grey Wolves may crumble.
