There was something...different about him. He wasn't shy when it came to things and spoke bluntly. The way his dark ember eyes glistened when he talked about video games and writing, his dark curly hair so soft hands itched to run through it. Keith just wasn't sure what, but he captured all his attention without trying. He'd be damned if he didn't try to keep when Shiro steps in.

"Lance..?" Keith called out, "Lance?'" Keith called out again. Keith's eyes landed on a shadowed body on the ground, some kind of pink liquid of a pool it was laying on, Keith walked closer to see Lance, and that liquid was red and blood. Keith began to cry when the thing knocked him out cold. Keith's eyes shot wide open, to see himself in his bed. Sighing in relief.

It is something he's very aware of, and with one of Lance's friends joining the group for a weekend trip to the ocean, Keith can't help but give a new friendship his best shot. Unfortunately for Keith, this so called friendship he's pursuing ends up being so much more. Unexpectedly and unintentionally, he finds himself falling for a girl he's known for no more than three days all because of one song which played on the radio.

"I don't care what Hunk said," Keith interrupted, his voice sharper this time. "You don't owe anyone an explanation. If you want to be with Allura, go for it. But make sure it's because you want to, not because you think you should. If Allura asks you out, just say yes or no. You don't owe anyone anything when it comes to your feelings." Lance looked up at Keith, his blue eyes searching for something in his face. Keith's heart gave an unexpected jolt, but he didn't let it show. Instead, he slowly rested his head against Lance's, both of them turning their attention to the sunset as it deepened in color. Keith couldn't hold Lance's gaze for too long. "Okay," Lance murmured, shifting to get more comfortable against Keith. Lance stared out at the horizon. "Everything's so beautiful out here." "It is," Keith agreed, his voice quieter now. (What if Lance had frozen and couldn't ask Allura out on a date in Season 8, Episode 1? Instead, Lance realizes his feelings for Keith and asks him out on a date. This is my take on fixing Voltron and writing what I believe should have happened.)

"S-Stay, p-please," Keith mumbled, hiding his face in his pillow. Lance nodded climbing beside the small boy. Keith turned to face him, his face flushed as he looked at Lance, "T-Thanks." "For what?" Lance whispered, his breath close enough for Keith to touch. "B-Being by my side," Keith moved closer to Lance, closing the small distance between them, "I-I thought y-you'd all hate me." "Why would you think that?" "Ha," Keith let out a bitter laugh, "I'm half Galra. I share half of my DNA with a race who has killed countless civilizations, not to mention they kidnapped Shiro and Katie's family, and they-" "Exactly, "they". You didn't help them do any of that, right?" Lance touched Keith's forehead with his own, drinking in the feel of his soft skin. "N-No but-" "No "buts", you didn't choose to be born part Galra, and you have more than proved you're a paladin." "Allura and Coran hate me," Keith mumbled, trying to find some way to prove that they did indeed hate him. "No they don't, just give them some time to adjust," Keith turned around, pulling Lance's arm around him, "They have to get used to you. None of us hate you, not the smallest bit." Lance waited for Keith to argue but the boy had already fallen asleep. Lance hugged the boy tighter as he copied his steady breaths. "I could never hate you." ------------------------------------------------- Keith gets kidnapped during a simple mission of the paladins. He's tortured and abused for three days, leaving him a damaged mess. The paladins finally find him and bring him home, but Keith is acting strange, stranger than usual. I obviously don't own Voltron. If you thought that, you're not all there when it comes to brains, thanks for the laugh though. Just got #1 in galra - 11/2/18 Thank you, you wonderful people!

It was time for you and the team, especially you and Keith, to step up and overcome your conflicts and start to become proper teammates, or perhaps more. or A story in which Keith Kogane and (Y/N), old classmates, meet again on a fateful night on a rescue mission for Shiro. Except that Keith now hates (Y/N)'s guts. What happened and how will that affect the Team of Voltron? Hell, if only (Y/N) knew. --- Not marked mature for smut! --- Credits for the lovely book cover and the banner in the chapters go to @-EL3CTRO on wattpad! --- Weekly updates, Fem!reader, mature content warning bc of violence --- Will be following the plot of "Voltron: Legendary defenders" only loosely. "Get out Lance, get out of my life". Facing toward Lance, looking him in the eyes, he kicked forward. Nailing Lance in the face, "Get out of my life Lance, and never come back". Lance nodded before running out to the door.
