Athena Cloud is an outcasted Angel who lives in Lightwood, also known as the City of Angels, the place where EVERYBODY is a somebody. Except for Athena, she's the lowest of the low, pretty much at the bottom of the Angel food chain, she's not famous, she doesn't have any friends or family... well a loving family to be specific. She's an adopted Angel who is treated harshly because she's .. well, a nobody. But, maybe all of that will change.
Angels have mates, their mates are like their other half. Every Angel has a certain design on their back that marks where their wings are, and when you've found your mate, the marks start to glow a beautiful blue color. Every Angel has a different design on their back and no Angel has the same one. These are called Imprints.
So, what will Athena do when hers starts to glow? Will her whole life change forever? Or will she face the pain of rejection and exile all over again?
