The Maester had made it clear that Aemma was not going to survive this birth. Was he a monster for trying to at least save his son? He knew it was crazy, but it felt like love at first sight. His Hand's eldest daughter, whom he had never met, had come to Kings Landing unexpectedly. She was a woman of 19 who had made a deal with her father that she would marry whomever he wanted her to without argument if he simply allowed her to travel the world for a few years. She left her home a quiet and lonesome child of 16 and came back a beautiful, elegant, and full of fire woman of 19. Her name was Annora Hightower. When Annora had her 19th name day, she received a letter from her father, Otto Hightower, telling her that her time was up and she was to come home. However, he was in for a rude awakening. For her strings were her own now. No longer would she be his to toy with, and she refused to allow her father to corrupt and torment her little sister, Alicent, any longer. If she must, she would take Alicent's place in whatever fucked up plan that her father had come up with to achieve his power. Notes: -WARNING-> there will be smut! [A/N]: Hey guys! Before I post this story, I was going to give a little insight. A very good friend of mine and I decided to write this book, and what better way to recieve constructive critcism than to share with everyone here on wattpad? I'm proud to say that we're nearly finished with it, around three to five more chapters need to be written. However, I will gladly post two chapters a week. Depending on the length, I could possibly split each chapter in two. Enjoy! -Skye & Jasmine My attempts to sleep failed miserably as realization hit me. Tonight was my last night unattached to someone. I swung my legs to one side of the bed. My bare feet brushed the cold floor and sent shivers up my spine. Scotland is much warmer this time of year. I took a few steps toward the window, but before I got too far I heard chatter just outside my door. "She’ll never be happy with him." The first voice, a female, was barely audible. "She could be. She’s just upset about Benjamin." A second voice, a man, replied to the woman. "She’ll never love Derick." A hint of anger played beneath the surface of the woman’s voice. I lay back down after that, so much for Emma accepting our marriage. Unhappiness coursed through my body and I became furious. I’d never love Emma either; with that I went to sleep. I dreamt of my mother singing in the castle, her voice was loud and demanding. Her words flowed so freely from her mouth and danced playfully down the halls. She was in the throne room singing to my father just as she always did. Her song was about the way she learned to love my father. Most marriages in Scotland are arranged, and due to our beliefs they have to work out. My mother had always been so madly in love with my father, but he was hesitant because he had to leave the woman he loved so dearly. So he let her go…

Since she could remember, she never believed her parents were really dead, and has been searching for them ever since she became part of the mercenary group. When Lotus, the Captains right hand man, was retiring, the Captain wanted to replace him with her. Lotus felt a woman was unfit to fill such a responsible position, and took his rage out on them, killing the Captain after a days battle. He banishes Erin, sending troops after her, for her head. However, she was smarter than that, and saw that coming. She travels with Rune, a man who saved her life during the previous days battle, reluctantly. Rune is a secret assassin for Queen Eiva, who has sent him on a mission to find out about this upcoming war, threatened by a group called the Pandoreos. As the fifth daughter of a man who only values sons, Madeline has grown up unloved, neglected, and forbidden from the one thing she loves. She never knew her mother and despises her father who views her as an inconvenience at best. As a little girl, she naively believed she'd be able to be free one day, but as she grows up, she realizes what a foolish hope that was. She reconciles herself to an unwanted marriage when her father decides it's time, consoling herself with the thought of at least being free of him eventually. But a marriage is not what her father has planned and little does Madeline know that marrying a stranger is not the worst path that can be chosen for her. When she learns that she is intended to become the prince's mistress, she thinks she'd rather die. Unfortunately if she doesn't comply, her father might just make that her alternative. **Part of the Rebellion series**
