Beware The 13th

After the descent of the 12 elders, the world flourished. No violence, no chaos, no more pain. As humanity grew older, the Elders were forgotten by most of the world. Except for the 12 cities that they founded where each House can feel safe. Beyond the limits of the city no one remembers anything about the city or the secrets that it contains. Peace and prosperity reign supreme in these cities and for all the members of the Houses.

That is all about to change when 19 year old Pierce Jensen watches a shooting star land in the town square. He leads an investigation of the meteor, only to find footprints from impact in the crater. Strange events and omens occur throughout the globe, with each of the 12 cities at the epicenter of them. Amidst the chaos and panic of the events that plague each city, Pierce meets 18 year old Aesira. Unless every other girl he has met, she has a certain spark that lights his insides ablaze. A girl with a dark secret.

Together they search for answers to help the people of the world, only to find that the worst is yet to come.
