Jay Rosse is a new sixth grader school girl who is content with her life--too easy school work, taking care of her young (amazing) half siblings, dealing with her telepathy powers ... oh... yeah.... You see, Jay has powers that she can't tell anyone about, and when she turns sixteen, she'll become immortal! However, her life isn't easy when she has to juggle so much, especially when she meets and befriends students Jack DeCrosi, AJ (Amy) Tsu-Argonne, and Ethan Jeane. Although, Jay doesn't even know who her dad is (and she really wants to find out). *sigh* the hard life of a teenager.... In this story of budding friendship and hidden secrets, follow Jay through her life before high school madness. Can she figure out who her dad is (sorry, not in this story)? Will she be able to handle her insane mother? ((Add why is Jack so mysterious??? [who knows])) JATG is the first story of many to come (maybe to come?!?), because this is only the beginning!!

Xander Murphy has never gone to school before, and he's terrified. Middle school, that is. After a rocky move across several states, he isn't entirely sure where he belongs in the complicated chaos of transitioning from home to public school. With a plan to impress a certain teacher, he's certain that he's found a way back to security. But life has a way of disrupting the most carefully laid plans, and security is not so easily won. Jay Moore wants to be liked. Coming from a Catholic schooling background, he sees the switch to public middle school a real chance to express himself. Plus, he'll be attending classes with his cool older brother for the first time, and now he can finally find a way into the clique. However, this friend group may be out of his league, and if he wants to find a place of belonging among them, he will have to make sacrifices. Join Jay and Xander in this coming of age tale of trust and friendship as they learn what it means to stand strong and be a true friend. This is the backstory for my two soon to be protagonists, Jay and Xander, and where their friendship began.
