"So, what's wrong?"
I manage to tear my gaze away from the black, cliche of a cat sat outside the window, staring in at me with it's yellow-green eyes, and fixed them on the man in front of me.
"Well, um, this cat won't stop following me," I reply, hesitantly.
"Why is that a bad thing?" The man asks, tilting his head, making his floppy brown hair, slide to the right, while tapping his pen on his chin.
"Things, well things kinda, sorta happen when it's around," I say, my eyes returning to the black, cliche of a cat, sitting outside the window, staring in at me with it's yellow-green eyes.

*Rejected at First Sight* Spin-off series (By GirlWhoChasesRainbow) 🌶 "Oomph!" The sound rushed out of my mouth as the door opened before I could reach the handle and my body hits a wall. I stumble backwards slightly before a hand wraps around my waist, keeping me from falling. Looking up, I realize this wasn't a wall, but instead a very attractive male. A very messy, but definitely sexy, mop of black hair sat on top of his head. When I looked closer, I realized that it was a deep shade of brown that was probably often mistaken for black. My gaze traveled to his eyes, where I found two deep ocean blue eyes looking at me. I kept going further down to his too crooked nose to be called straight, which I assumed came from too many fights. His skin was tanned, but an olive tone suggested he had a natural darker complexion to begin with. My eyes finally found his pink, very plump lips which were resting slightly open. His lips jerked up into a lopsided sneer as his hand snapped back to his side. The sudden movement left my back cold, as if his palm had been a source of warmth. "You've got to be kidding me!" His tone dripped with disgust. My eyes turned to questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. I brought my hand up to rub my nose, squinting at the slight pain. "What the hell." He grumbled. "I, Jay Julian, reject you as my mate." He, or Jay, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? What the hell was that? Was it some sort of local lingo? How did I get rejected on my first day? The first person I make eye contact with at this school rejects me. I guess that's how this school works, if the hottest boy in school rejects you, you're a nobody. If that's how this small town school worked, then I was screwed. So much for making friends, or mates, or whatever they call people in this place. I shake those ocean blue eyes out of my head and continue into the office to start my new life.

Prologue- The long haul It's been nearly a year now since I've see Brandon and I'm really starting to worry. As I sit at my desk staring out in space I felt a breeze touch my shoulder and I thought it was nothing till it did it again that's when I was startled and paying attention now. I turned around to find a cat jumping up on my bed and staring at me. Is coat was as black as midnight with white paws. I just looked at it and it seemed to have a meaning or a purpose of being here and I couldn't tell whether it was good or bad. It just started to bathe itself as I turn back to my desk and started to type my essay when it hoped on my desk and it looked like it was saying something and then I realized it really was talking. "Hey, take your damn headphones out of your face and listen to me!"I took my headphones out and I just looked at the cat and he started talking again. "The council is asking for your presence in a week to discuss the consequences." "Wait, what council and consequences? Did I do something wrong?" "It's not what you did it's what Brandon did." "Wait, you saw Brandon, where? Is he ok?" "Not for long he's not gonna be if the council gets to him." "What do they need me for I haven't seen or heard from him in months!?" "Well all I can legally tell you is if you don't find him the council will kill him." I stood there in anger and in fear that he did something he promised he wouldn't do and on the other hand this cat is telling me that if I don't fin him that the council will kill him, I wanna know what the hell is going on. The cat leaves just as quickly as he entered and left me with the words, "I would hurry if I was you."

I heave in an astronomical breathe. Dumped Death Dad Downpour That just sums up my whole day. But the only thought that's racking through my depressing brain right now as I stare up at the unexpectedly dark sky is... I should've brought an umbrella. I step out into the cold wind, splatters of raindrops hitting my cheeks. I trudge through the wet pavement, my sneakers soaking up the water. Dumped Death Dad Downpour Summarization of my fucked up day. I shiver as the cold raindrops begin pouring heavier, the water saturating through my hair and soaking my clothes. I stop immediately when I hear a helpless whimper coming from the alley beside a small bakery. I hear it again, low and sad. I step towards the sound and find two green eyes staring up at me belonging to a black cat. It's coat drenched and it's whiskers drooping low. Like it's frowning. Even in my damp mood I feel sorry for the little animal. "You don't have a home, little guy?" I ask, squatting to see it better. Did it just shake its head!? I blink a few times and sigh. I'm probably seeing things. It's been overwhelmingly negative lately. I reach a hand for the feline and it corresponds, tucking its head under it. I pet it's wet coat and stare at it as it closes its eyes. I can't leave such a pitiful thing next to the dumpsters and cold rain to be frozen alive or ravished by stray dogs. So I do what every human being would do in my situation, I take it home. And that was possibly the stupidest thing I've ever done. *** This is a story about a girl named Lucky. But of course she's everything but lucky. One day she comes across this odd feline who acts strangely like a human. Maybe he is really a human and Lucky has got her hands into a whole lot of trouble. Or maybe she found what she was missing and this feline becomes her lucky clover. Get ready for a a world full of drama and unlucky incidents.

"I don't believe it." a low inhumane voice whispered. I have to look up to meet his gaze. Is he a new bully? Haven't seen him before. "What is your name?" He's against the light but his eyes were like sapphires glowing in the night. Curious. "Your name." I felt some weird tone emanating from his voice. Too demanding... too powerful. "Uh..." my name? No one's interested with my name, except for the cafe's barista. "Don't make me repeat. State your name!" "Nathalia Nicolai." I spilled flabbergasted by his yelling. For once, i saw... amusement then it quickly changed back to disgust. "I, Alpha Chase Ashton Michael, rejects you Nathalia Nicolai as my mate and Luna of Bloodridge pack." "Huh?" Should i say 'nice to meet you'? "Now, repeat after me. I, Nathalia Nicolai, accepts your rejection, as your mate and luna of Bloodridge pack." He nod at me. Ok? i repeat the whole verse. "Good." He remarked letting go of me and exiting. "Wow." My only comment. That's really a new way to introduce yourself and rejecting people. I took a sip of my drink. "But that's really uselss." I smiled leaving the room. If you are born missing something, will you ever stop looking for that something? Try to fill what is gone? Won't you continue on living?
