"Everyone around me gets hurt brown eyes, now back off before you get added to the list," I spat turning away. I didn't even make it one step when I felt a large, warm hand grab my arm and spin me around. "Please Angel, I'm not going any where and I'm pretty sure you know that," he said, his breath fanned my face. A small smile gracing his lips as he examined my features. I gazed up into his chocolate brown eyes. "Don't say I didn't warn you," I hissed pulling my arm away from him walking further into the forest. Alaska Alessandra Ember Laine had been ripped away from her two younger brothers, locked in a cell for 3 years. She never expected to see anything in the future, besides her 4 metal cell walls. 2 weeks before she thought she was going to get floated she got a second chance at survival. The ark was sending 100 prisoners down to earth for the first time in 97 years and she was going. Little did she know on the ground she'd see many old friends and make new ones. Maybe even fall for a certain cocky, curly haired, brown eyed boy.

Beneath her cold exterior is a girl made of scars. Born in space and raised by grief, Ivory Walker learned early that love could turn into cruelty. At fifteen, she pulled the trigger that changed everything. Now, two years later, she's given a second chance she never asked for-sent back to the ground that ended the world. Earth doesn't forgive. Neither does the past. And survival may cost her what's left of her soul.
