His parents were murdered, and he knows who made the call. Psychic spy Lewis D'Angelo's plan to bring the corrupt businessman who took his parents from him to justice is all he cares about. Dating? There's no time for that. Or at least, that's what he believes--until he meets Samir; tall, dark, and handsome, with a touch that leaves Lewis reconsidering his priorities, something only his childhood love had ever been capable of. But the truth of the conspiracy Lewis has fought so long to expose might be deeper than he's prepared to face, and Lewis doesn't realize his crush was sent to kill him. On the surface, Samir Amari leads an unassuming life in the city. But to Manhattan's secret world of mobs, murder, and mayhem, he's Parrish Kane: an infamous hitman with powerful empathic abilities. He has a new contract: kill Lewis D'Angelo, make bank. But there's something different about this particular target--something special. Once their paths unexpectedly cross and Samir decides to take a more 'personal' approach, he soon has trouble deciding whether he wants to kill Lewis or kiss him. The only life Armen Mink has ever known is one in the spotlight. Under the thumb of his tyrannical billionaire father, nothing less than perfection is allowed. He's always been forced to choose between his obligations to the man responsible for Lewis's suffering, and Lewis himself. Despite their turbulent past, Armen wants to protect Lewis. But when his father sends a hitman to get rid of him for good, things complicate even further when Lewis unexpectedly begins dating the same man who's been hired to kill him. Now Armen may lose Lewis to Samir by completely different means--Something he's unwilling to simply roll over and accept. Once Caleb reached the bottom of the stairs he quietly opened the door and tiredly switched on the light "Jayden it isn't morning yet buddy you need to-" he froze in place staring at a man he didn't know standing in his living room. The man stared back at him like a deer in the headlights, he looked a few years older than Caleb, had stubble growing around his face, dark brown greasy hair that wasn't styled in any particular way and was wearing full black aside from the muddy navy blue trainers he was sporting. "Who the fuck are you and what are you doing here?" Caleb demanded in a hushed whisper, he also noticed the black backpack the stranger was carrying and the open living room window he'd clearly used to gain entry, the vase that was previously rested on the windowsill lay in pieces on the ground, that must've been the crash that had awoken Caleb from his tranquil slumber. "Just a passerby, no one much" the strange man whispered back an air of mystery hanging about his every word. "Inside my living room?" Caleb replied folding his arms and sizing the man up, after his beating earlier in the evening he wasn't exactly fighting fit, the intruder was also taller and muscly, there's no way Caleb would win if it came to a fight. "Consider me Santa Claus alright? Now go back to bed kid" the man answered calmly pointing at the door as if Caleb was a child. "I'm not a little kid anymore, I'm 18. Santa isn't real" Caleb responded harshly taking a step forward, the man noticeably took a step towards the window eyeing Caleb up with a smirk.
