Do not read this is actually cringing as heck ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Layla has done terrible things to get there. She'll do worse to stay there. Lenna has been isolated from the world outside Cartwright for as long as she can remember. Talking about anything out of Cartwright is unheard of. No one mentions Queen Layla. No one mentions Lenna's imaginary past that isn't so imaginary. Then Nate a boy her age ,who doesn't eat drink or sleep, turns up after Lenna burns her best friends girlfriend to almost ashes. He believes her. He also believes she can kill Layla. Something only a queen could do. Then just like that Lenna and Nate have to slaughter Layla before a rebellion attempts it and fails. This is a story about crowns and blades.
