17 year old Melody Nichols has been home schooled her entire life. That is, until in her 12th grade year, her mother tells her that she's gonna start at a public school.

That's right. A public school. How is she supposed to survive? She's never had a single friend, and barely ever leaves her house. And she only knows things about high school three movies, which isn't that helpful. What is she going to do?

On her first day, she walked into her new school confident. But when the school bad boy, Charlie O'Donnel, is forced to give her a tour of the school, her day turns into one of the worst days of her life.
