Mina Fujioka is the older sister of Haruhi. She had been gone the past year in America on a temporary passport for an Athletic Running program. When sent back home Mina is pulled into helping pay off Haruhi's 8 million yen debt by her baking skills. Who would have thought Haruhi had an older sister nothing like her. Where Haruhi is calm and caring shin is anxious and smothering. The poor girl has misophobia and hypochondria and is often convinced she's dying of some sort of illness or worried about her younger sister catching a disease or becoming unhealthy. Though she is smart enough to get into the academy she didn't think it would be fair to take the spot away from another worthy candidate that probably wanted to do something with their lives besides be a housewife. Though when it came time for her sisters interview she did make a deal with the principle that she had free reign to come visit her sister whenever she wanted. He even gave her her own vip visitors pass so that she wouldn't get questioned about being there. Right now things are going good for the fugiokas at least until shin realizes she has no prospects for marriage and can't live with her father her whole life.
