The prince is an arrogant, controlling, spoiled brat who treats the help like they are lower than bugs. King Erwin of Yoheim knows that in his current mindset, the prince is not worthy of being king to the very people he abuses daily. So, King Erwin makes a proclamation to his son: If the prince cannot learn to see those meant to serve him as equals and treat them as actual human beings, then Prince Aaron would never be made king. When a new servant shows up at the castle, the prince sees this man as his opportunity to show his father that he is wrong about Aaron. But, as the prince feels constantly drawn closer, he can't seem to shake this meaningless lower class person who is always in his thoughts.
With tensions building between the upper and lower classes of Yoheim, Aaron finds himself trapped in a whirlwind of personal, social, and political conflicts that threaten to tear his kingdom apart, and of them all, becoming king is the least of his worries. Rebellion is brewing in Yoheim, but Aaron is left helpless as secrets and lies rip him apart, and the one question he wants to be answered most is one: Who is the mysterious green-eyed stranger? Just who is De'Noll Robinay?
