A girl with a tragic back story tries to find her way in a world filled with danger. The tragic accident that happens when she is only thirteen years old changed her life forever, even making her change her name into the goal she makes to herself as she tries to find the only family she hopes is still alive. When she finally finds her long lost brother she comes to find out something about him, he's been keeping secrets. The secret leads to her doing everything she can to make things right with her brother and her friend Daryl, who is also hiding a secret from her. When will these secrets finally be revealed? Will she ever find a place in the world? Will she find a new home in this new world of destruction and chaos?

Lauren is in her worse state of mind after losing everything she's ever loved and gets to meet Rick in his scariest state of survival also, relating to him more than anyone else in the group having done the same things as Rick to survive at all costs. I do not own The walking dead characters or scenes, only characters I made up outside of the cast. If i accidentally stole ideas from anyone it was not on purpose; I haven't read any twdfanfic.
