Problems of Mass Proportion

Maren Physic is a werewolf.

There, she said it.

Problem: Maren's pack, who are supposed to be her family, abuse her.

So finally, Maren jumps out of the fourth floor of a building to tell her neighbor that someone in the pack is planning to murder them.

Then Maren runs.

Problem: Maren has nowhere to run to, so she stumbles into Blood pack territory and is discovered by the alpha, beta, third, and delta.

She is adopted by Aiden and Olivia Wilde, alpha and luna of the Blood pack. Her old pack, Dark Rose, is searching for her. Aiden and Olivia hide her and enroll her in school.

Walking home from school, Maren is kidnapped.

By a twenty-two-year-old man claiming to be her mate.

Problem: Maren is thirteen years old.

She doesn't speak. She doesn't eat. Her wolf keeps her alive. Maren is curled in a tight ball in a bed, speaking only in song lyrics. Jonathan and Liam care for her day in and day out. Dylan, Maren's mate, is finally done with Maren's noncompliance.

After all, he had a natatorium and a movie theater AND a library installed for her, and she still won't be his mate.

Dylan tells Maren he's moving on, but she will stay in the building until she is compliant. Then he brings out his girlfriend, Clare, and Clare asks for permission to go out with Dylan.

Maren agrees without a second thought, finally getting to be herself without Dylan terrifying her.

Problem: Every time Dylan and Clare kiss, or touch intimately, Maren gets hurt. Badly.
