Emma's mom has abused her for about 4 years now, one day she does the unthinkable which leaves Emma in a coma. Waking up from the coma Emma meets the Sheriff's Deputy Rick Grimes, which it wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't the apocalypse. Rick helps guide Emma back to a camp of people who unexpectedly become Emma's family. She meets her dad for the first time. She has no clue what happened to her mom. In a twisted way Emma's life is just better in the apocalypse.

**I just want to warn everyone, this is my first story, and I'd like to say it progressively gets better. I hope you enjoy my fetus writing though. :))**

The military fell too quickly, the city was overrun by the dead and now she was at an old quarry only a few miles outside Atlanta with her Sister-In-Law, Nephew, and her brothers best friend. On the way they met a few more people and now had a small group. She slowly grows close the the youngest Dixon brother, Daryl. When they get back from their hunting trip Daryl learns his brother was handcuffed to a roof and left in the city. But what had YN in complete shock and not knowing how to deal with it is the person who did it. Her brother was alive after she already Mourned his death. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Luckily she has a list of rules and guidelines she has been working on as the days of living in a post apocalyptic world with the living dead to keep her busy. And it doesn't hurt to focus on a certain redneck too.
