Detroit has a bad reputation. These kids have a bad reputation. It sounds almost like a match made in Heavan- or is it Hell? One might say that it's a typical story of how a few independent tales end up getting wound together, and creating a climax of some sort, and maybe they're right. However, allow me to throw in gun, fights, blood and scandal, and then we might have something slightly different.
Natalie Accola is sixteen years old, and never truly was a typical girl. She wasn't a tomboy, either. More of a smartass. She's hooked on smoking, drinking, and- oh yeah, she's been called a pyromaniac. All in all, Natalie's middle name should simply be 'Trouble'. To begin her story is a break-in gone wrong. In a vast opposite of her, we have Jacob, who is every parent's dream. Organized, clean, quiet, and a straight-A student. His older sister, Elizabeth, isn't too much of a dream. She's more of a party girl who couldn't care less about school. Despite their parent's fears, 'Liz' still hasn't defiled their innocent son. However, on one warm night, she does end up pulling him into something he can't escape.
To say it frankly, they all end up homeless. And, to top it off, they're now alone. A perfect example of how fickle friends can be, I suppose. And, by a twist of fate, these three find each other, and maybe even a few more teens who... aren't exactly angelic.
