I knew it, I knew it from the very start that we could never be together, but some part of me always hoped, hoped some day that all this madness would fade away just like a dream.

We both stood there in defening silence, I wanted to say something but I couldn't, what would I say, what would I do? I couldn't help but think that she hated but I needed to know, "Do you hate me? Do you ever regret taking my hand that day? Do you wish we never met?"

Just before she could answer I heard footsteps, someone's coming.
