"Do you know what it's like to be unmade?"
"You know I do."
They see each other as Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton, not the infamous Black Widow and S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, master assassin and marksman, Hawkeye. Natasha and Clint had been partners, best friends, and eventually lovers, for as long as they can remember. They were finally happy, living a life of danger as super spies and assassins, but this time, they were doing it together. But after a simple car crash in the water, Natasha loses her memory. She doesn't remember S.H.I.E.L.D., or the Avengers Initiative, or most importantly, Clint. She only remembers her previous life in Russia as the victim of too many brainwashes, with her ledger gushing red, using her specific skill set to work for no one in particular, killing and not caring who she hurt. She doesn't know who Clint is, only remembering herself as a spy and assassin for the USSR in Soviet Russia, which had been disbanded years ago. Natasha has lost years of her memory; she is drowning in her own lies. What will Clint do without her?
