There wasn't anything too hard for the educated and driven Dr. Allison Westbrook. Being one of the finest Oncologist in Baltimore had it's rewards and challenges. Treating all kinds of illnesses gave her a sense of pride, that she couldn't receive anywhere else. But that was her job to be there when people needed her to be, after all who could restore her failing marriage and children's resentment? When a 12 year old leukemia patient named Hailey becomes her assignment Dr. Allison is convinced this a normal case like any other. The more time she spends with Hailey the more she realizes how serious the illness is. They connect sharing their hopes, fears, and dreams for the future. In a attempt to save Hailey Dr. Allison discovers it is herself who needs to be rescued.
